Uncontested Divorce
An uncontested divorce can make for less hostility and less time in court, especially if the divorce is handled by an experienced uncontested divorce attorney.
No-Fault Divorce
New York is a “no-fault” state, meaning a specific reason for divorce doesn’t necessarily have to be listed in a filing.
Contested Divorce
The most common disagreements in divorces are custody arrangements and property division.
High Asset Divorce
A New York divorce lawyer experienced with high net worth cases will be needed to assist in enforcing or challenging this agreement.

Evan Seckular, a partner at Brian D. Perskin & Associates P.C., developed his deep interest in New York family law in college while attending the University of Pennsylvania and clerking during the summers in both the Family and Supreme Courts in Westchester County, New York. After determining that he wished to pursue a career in the law, he went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Mr. Seckular joined Brian D. From her first year of law school, when she interned in the Family Law Unit of the New York Legal Assistance Group, Ms. Cohen-Vigder has dedicated herself exclusively to seeking justice for her clients. She ran a program for two years during law school to recruit and train law students to assist domestic violence survivors seeking orders of protection.
Dina Botwinick joined the firm in 2014. Since graduating from Brooklyn Law School in 2008, her practice has focused exclusively on matrimonial and family law, with emphasis on negotiation, litigation in dissolution and related matters, including custody and visitation, division of assets and interests, child support, and domestic violence for both traditional and same sex couples.
